Maps API version 2 deprecated with no Youtube layer in API V3

I got a warning about the upcoming V2 API deprecation (May 2013). The problem is I use the youtube layer in V2 which is not provided by V3.
Please add this layer to V3 too, otherwise there will be a loss of functionality when V2 bites the dust.
