[WMS] Does Google maps api v3 support GetFeatureInfo

Is there a way to request GetFeatureInfo from a WMS service with the Google maps api v3?

Not nativity.

Would need implementing in javascript. Its almost certainly possible
to make code, that tracks a click on the map, and makes a call to a
WMS service with the coordinates, gets the results and does something
with it (display an infowindow?).

As it quite possible involves a cross-domain request, will possibly
need a server-side proxy to forward the request.
