Nope like stated it's a native Linux version. :)

Amazing.....
I just started google-earth on my openSUSE 12.1 system to examine the font
appearance which had not drawn my attention previous. The look very good,
clear and distinctive. AND, I am currently away from my desktop ssh-ing
into it from a windows laptop over wireless.
The font problem must be a *buntu* problem.
I was advised that I was opening google-earth in opengl mode and suggested
directx would perform better, but directx mode crashes... opengl mode
displayed properly.

I'd be a lot happier if they'd make a plain ordinary tarball for us
slackware people. deb and rpm files are always problematical.
I'll stick with what I'm using until I have a GOOD reason to change.

It's a shame rich pakaging formats cause problems for those not using
the system they are made for. For people with the corresponding OS I
think they give a lot more benefit than a tarball.
Of course what we'd all really like is a tarball - of source.

Yeah I've been reading on the intertubes that people are complaining about the ugly UI fonts etc., Yet on Debian vanilla testing it looks beautiful. Interestingly most of the folks I see complaining are using Ubuntu. So that's got to be a 1st -- An app looking better on Debian then Ubuntu. ;>PI haven't had any crashes so far and I've been using for 2 days. Must be those bleeding edge distros causing the issues. ;)
