Error response body in Network Panel

Hi all!

Why doesn't Network Panel show response body for failed (non-200) HTTP
requests? They usually contain important data. I have to run Charles
Proxy to see them while it's not really convenient. Thanks.

I can not reproduce this for some random failing requests.
Could you please be more specific about concrete failure status codes for which response body is not shown?
An example URL would be nice to have as well.
Also which version of chrome/chromium are you using?

Hi Maxim,

Thank you for your answer, I understand the problem now.
We do show content for failed XHRs and main document requests, but we do not for subresources (images, css, scripts).
I have filed https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84265 you can follow the progress there.
I already have a patch that fixes it available locally.
