Hi All.....
Sorry for the stupid question....

Google docs is among one of the many g-apps services we would like to integrate into our application.

How do we choose which API to integrate..

EG >>> A or B?

Please point us in the right direction... Thanks!!!

Hi,

The Google Documents List Data API v3.0 is NOT deprecated.
For further questions about its usage and status I'd recommend using the specific forum:

Thanks

Claudio,

Then what I was told by a Google product manager contradicts that... I will dig out the text when next in front of a PC.

cheers

Ok, to clarify...

We were attempting to use v2.0 of the Documents List API, as v3 is
still in labs - we don't really want to use labs in a production
environment.

It seems (and correct me if I'm wrong!) that v2.0 is being deprecated
and then v3 will be brought out of labs? The reason we've already been
through it is that v2.0 is inaccessible to EDU domains, hence why we'd
been talking to the Docs PM....

Mally
(the actual text: "You should be able to use the API in your domain.
The key is that you use the resumable upload API:
http://code.google.com/apis/documents/docs/3.0/developers_guide_protocol.html#UploadingDocs
The other upload API is being deprecated and so isn't available.")

Hi Mally,

I can tell you that v2 is the stable version and v3 is still in labs but I'm not aware of plans to deprecate v2 in the near future.
What I know we plan to deprecate is the direct upload method and only allow resumable upload instead. The documentation reads "It should be noted that we plan to deprecate this mechanism in the near future in favor of the recommended resumable upload mechanism".

However, I'm not the expert on this API and I'd still recommend using the specific forum where members of the Docs team participate in the discussion.
Thanks

Claudio
