We have multiple domains but are only allowing users to set a 'nickname' on the same domain as their primary email address. Is there a preference as to whether we use the nickname feed uri or the alias feed uri to send requests? i.e.

Nickname:
GET https://apps-apis.google.com/a/feeds/example.com/nickname/2.0?username=helpdesk

or

Alias:
GET https://apps-apis.google.com/a/feeds/alias/2.0/example.com/help...@example.com

We are a little unclear about the distinction between these two but it sounds like it is fine to use the nickname feed as long as requests are for the same domain?

Thanks.

Hi,

Basically nicknames can only be used when the user is in the same domain while aliases can be used in a multidomain environment too.
