Need to change role from "owner" to "Manager"

Hi All,

I need some help for bulk operation.

I have 2000+ groups and I have already added members and owners on it. Now I have to change the role for all groups and wanted to know any operation or API/ protocol method from where I can authorize to domain and the user who are "owner" this time.

Need help to change role from owner to manager. I have only group email address handy.

Hello Atul,

I didn't understand you question really well, but you can retrieve and update the user status inside a group using the Provisioning API.

If you need to do this only once, I'd recommend you use GAM (http://code.google.com/p/google-apps-manager) if you require to update it frequently probably develop a script your be better.

Yes, You are right. you did not understand my question well even it's mentioned clearly in subject line..

that I have 2000+ google group and these have it's members and owners but now I want to change the role of "owner" to "Manager" for users who are added into those group as a role "Owner". Hope now its clear for you.

even I could not found any way in GAM as well. If you know then can you help me?

I think Alexandre remains confused.  Owner does not equal manager.  There are 3 distinct roles in a group: Owner, Manager, and Member.  Owner has greater privilege than Manager.  You can access and provision the Owner and Member roles via API, but not the Manager role.  This has been a long awaited feature, there is an enhancement request here (please star):
