Hi!

Is there any way to retrieve the passworh (SHA-1 hash) of a Google Apps User Account via the Provisioning API.
I would really need this function, because with that I would be able to create a tool that syncs back the account informations to our local LDAP server (keeping the Google Apps Directory as our primary server).

I've read the documentation: http://code.google.com/intl/hu-HU/googleapps/domain/gdata_provisioning_api_v2.0_reference.html#User_Account_URL_Table , but it says "<apps:login> - Attributes - password - Note: This attribute is not returned in API responses."

Thanks for the answer,
Pálesz

Hi Pálesz,

For security reasons, it's impossible to retrieve users' passwords.
You can keep passwords synced by using your local LDAP server as the primary server and then pushing all changes to Google Apps.
Please note that we also provide a free tool that perform this task:

Thanks
Claudio
