2LO and user passwords

Is it possible to use 2LO in a Java App Engine application to access user information and to reset the user's password?

I have been trying the AppsForYourDomainClient and it does not support 2LO properly. I can use 2LO to read user information after allowing the scope in my domain but I can reset user information unless I use the admin username and password.

I trying to create an application that would use 2LO to access and modify the password for a user without the user's credentials.

Any help/code assistance will be appreciated in advance.

Hello Jagot,

You cannot modify the user details with the 2LO, you have to use 3LO for it.

You can use your admin credentials client_id and client_secret for 3LO, and not use the username password.

The write access in the Provisioning API is given only by 3LO.
