I need to develop a control in .NET that displays to the user the list of Google Apps Services that are enabled to him. How is it possible programmatically to retrieve those services. I guess if I know the user organization, I should be able to query for the organization policies, and see what the enabled services are. Are there any code samples that show how this can be accomplished?

Thanks in advance.

Hello John,

Currently it is not possible to query for the organization policies using the API.
This is a valid feature request, you can file it in our issue tracker:

Please describe your use-case clearly so that your feature request can be prioritized accordingly.

Hi Shraddha,

Many thanks for your reply. So is there any simple way using script to build something similar to the 'More' menu that appears at the top menu bar in Google Apps (the menu that lists any additional services that the user has access to)?

Regards,
John

Hi John,

It is not possible to build a menu using script in Google Apps. If you have a use-case that requires customized menu, you can
go ahead and file a feature request in the issue tracker. Don't forget to describe the use-case clearly.

Hi Shraddha,

I probably did not make myself clear. What I meant to ask is whether there is a way to query for the policy information through plain HTTP requests, instead of using the GData .NET client library, or not. If it is possible, then we would be able to build a menu in our web application similar to that 'More' menu in Google Apps.

I have submitted the feature request [http://code.google.com/a/google.com/p/apps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=2956]. Hope to get a response soon.

Thanks and regards,
John
