Application Error:7 on fetching a blob

For some of our blob records, we get an IOException with a message inside it that says: 

Application Error: 7 

One of the blob keys that gives us such an error is:

Newer blobs that we have created (i.e., ones we have created today) seem to be working. The ones that are not working are from yesterday, though not ALL are failing from yesterday.

Any help with this is much appreciated.
