according to the current docs: http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/quotas.html#Resources and the FAQ: http://code.google.com/appengine/kb/billing.html#freecharges any billing-enabled app still has to deplete its free quota before incurring into additional charges, is this the same under the new billing system?

the new billing table doen't mention anything about it: http://www.google.com/enterprise/cloud/appengine/pricing.html I'm aware that under the new system there will be a $9 minimum charge regardless of usage and that it counts as part of the used resources you're paying for, are these "used resources" measured after depleting the free quota as it is now or does the new plan eliminate free quotas entirely for billing-enabled apps?

thanks.

Hi Samus,

Paid apps do indeed still deplete free quota before you pay for usage.  There are 2 tables on http://www.google.com/enterprise/cloud/appengine/pricing.html, one named Hosting and one named APIs.  Each table shows "Free quota per app per day" that applies both to Free Apps as well as paid apps.

If you need any more information, let us know!

Thanks,
