Hi all,

I'm new to the google api's and I'm a bit confused.

In the develops guide to the feeds api it says "all request need a valid http referer".

I'm not sure how to do this - the referer might not be set if a user typed the url his browser or if he uses a bookmark. Or if the user changed his browser settings the referer might never be sent.

I'd only be using the api in a javascript environment. As far as I know I can't set the referer to a default value using only javascript.

Would this be a problem?

Is there a way to set a default value to the referer (like the url of my website)? Or do I have to use serverside scripts (like php)?

Thank you for any tipps on this.

The browser will automatically set the referer header to the url from which the request is triggered when you're using the API in a Javascript/browser environment.
