How to fix encoding issues

I've just setup an install of gitlist, and in a given repo i get some ugly chars, where should be the word "Imputación", it says "Imputaci\303\263n"

Hmm, we never tested against multibyte characters. Can you please create an issue at Github? This way i can put it in the todo for 0.3.
