Java API get information from id

Is there a quick way to access a place information with its ID.

Even though it seems so obvious, I cannot find this feature in the Javadoc that would return info like 

http://api.geonames.org/get?geonameId=6295630&username=demo&style=short

Any tip welcome.

You are right. This service was missing in the java api. I has been
implemented with version 1.1.5:
