Alan,

Just one more seller with an over inflated ego who can't take very good pictures.

Best regards,
Peter

I'm not the person to judge the value of the bike, but I really enjoyed looking at the photos. That bike should be in a museum.

Absolutely gorgeous bicycle.  The pictures are to drool over.  I'd love to see this one in a museum.  However, considering that $27k will buy you an absolutely gorgeous pre-WWII Triumph or BSA motorcycle, a very nice Vincent, or a decent Brough-Superior; let's keep things in perspective, folks.  This is just a bicycle.

Graham,

Sorry if I insulted the seller but I'm tired of seeing eBay auctions where sellers list bikes as rare when they are a dime a dozen and some unsuspecting buyer might purchase based on the bologna in the auction as well as sellers demanding over inflated prices for what they perceive is a gem. Never the less poor quality photos. At least the photos in this auction are in focus as opposed to many auctions I see with blurred photos but the photos overall could be much better, especially when seeking a kings ransom.

Best regards,
Peter

No, I think you were right to insult the seller; He is, afterall, taking the piss! I just hope there is nobody fool enough out there to think that one of the most common bikes on the planet is worth anything like the asking price.

For anyone needing a smaller lady's Raleigh 3-speed, this one looks like it is in very nice shape - although it isn't a bargain!

On t'other hand, this Raleigh Space Rider starts at $10 ...

Neither bike is mine, and I have no (known) association with the seller(s).

Worth more then money, the finish on this bike does not look right. Can you imagine seeing a whole show room filled with Raleighs like this. I think I would fall down! It not only looks as if it hasent been ridden, (As you can see, its missing its chain from the open gearcase shots) but it even looks as if its never been moved (From the fender tail shots.) It must have been kept in a dust free room. Total WOW!

It looked to me like an over-restored bike, like the Schwinns you see at shows that are far shinier, etc., than they ever were when they left the showroom?
