Greetings everyone,

First of all: Many thanks to Roger Nelson,  the director of the Global Consciousness Project (a.k.a. EGG), who has taken the time to create this Google Group putting us all in contact.

What has brought us all together is the GCP, but we all have our individual agendas which are now fortuitously converging via the present platform. That being said, in order to get to know a bit about each of our members, we invite you to make a brief introduction about yourself, your ideas as they pertain to the GCP and extensions thereof, and how you wish to contribute. You are invited to provide supplementary information that can help us to understand your proposed involvement in the global consciousness project such as web links.

Kind regards,
Alix

I will go first!

Hi everyone, my name is Alix Erie. I am also known as Alice Güsh, Durga Consciousness, and Güsh Yogini. I am the director and creator of the Advancement of Civilization Effort, the purpose of which can be viewed on the home page at the web site:

A small bio about myself can be viewed on this site at

Because of my physics background I hope to contribute to the GCP by employing my data analysis and programming skills. Furthermore, I feel that I have much to share with the GCP because of my many experiences with the collective consciousness. It is these experiences that have led me today to begin the Advancement of Civilization Effort. And I am happy to say that I finally have advanced diplomas in both the academic sciences and in the tantric sciences, which provides me with the rational approach that I needed for my goals.

I am thrilled to be a part of this team. And I look forward to working with you all for years to come,

Alix

Nice to meet all of you!

My name is Michael Vignapiano, and I am neither a scientist or mathematician. In fact, I majored in entrepreneurial studies at Rider University, located near Princeton U. My interest in the GCP stems from my natural passion for the sciences and philosophy - which I have studied closely throughout college. While learning how to create and market business ideas over the past several years, I have often contemplated how we can better understand and harness the underlying consciousness connecting us all. I believe the GCP holds the potential to do so once fully understood and translated to society. Hopefully this group will help brings these ideas to fruition! Although I am clearly less qualified than many of you, I hope to offer as much creative and philosophical insight as I can.

All the best,
Michael

Hello everybody,

Nice to sort of virtually meet you!

My name is Chiel Reemer (which you start pronouncing with the sound you might make when clearing your throat, followed by a short 'eel' and the last name sounding pretty much the same as Raymer).
I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, have a bachelor's in creative writing and visual arts and love to play chess a lot (among many other things). During my studies I focused on the mysterious landscapes created by the converging winds of science, art, philosophy and mysticism. Somewhere in this landscape I encountered a small but sturdy cabin called the PEAR-lab where I met wonderful people who traveled the same terrain, and from very diffrent home grounds. It was there I also learned about the GCP.

Science, art and spirituality were not always so far apart. One might even say they formed one entity for a long, long time. Only since a few hundred have they been seperated and one might wonder if this is still the way to go. Personally I believe we've come to a point where the integration of these fields of study and experience, without losing what has been acquired, is the only way we can develop as a civilization. It is my humble wish to contribute to this integration in any way I can.

I can see myself writing, interviewing (also with a camera), discussing, probing and sometimes provoking when people start to think they are right about something, because, of course, we can never be. :)

The first project that comes to mind for me is creating a video documentary about the GCP. For this I will create a discussion in this group and I invite everybody here to join the exploration of the possibilties for making a film like that.

Roger, thank you very much for initiating this group. I hope it is the first step in an amazing collective journey into the collective consciousness.

Love,
Chiel (remember to clear that throat!)

Hello all,

My name is Audra (from Australia) and I work as a designer.

I've always felt strongly that there is more to the seemingly random connections in our world. The GCP interests me especially the aspect of the potential for positive effect in people's understanding and respect for their level of consciousness.

My skills are in design (identity, print, web, user interface, industrial and art) and marketing (copywriting, social media, newsletters).

My common trouble at present is that I'm a little, time poor, but I do look forward to contributing where I can.

Nice to meet such a diverse group.

Audra

I just wanted to write back and explain to the group that I will be for at least the next two months, and probably until the end of 2012 very busy finishing my master work. There are very many interesting discussions ideas that are being posted and ways in which I would like to  be involved, but I can see myself becoming very quickly engrossed in the activities of this group, and finishing my studies are priority number one right now. So see you guys soon!!!

Kind regards,
Alix

Hi Audra,

Glad to see your intro. Welcome. It is perhaps comforting to know that your "common" problem is common to all of us apparently. I keep running into time blocks -- intentions to do, blocked by missing the time for it. But enough commiserating! I wish you all the time and energies you need to enjoy what sounds like a creatively busy period.

Roger

Hello everyone,
My name is Ron Newman.  I am happy to have found this group and am inspired by the profiles of the people I find here.

I am a software engineer but also have a second degree in music and was a jazz musician for a number of years.  I founded MyIdeaTree.com, which is interested in pursuing ways for scientists and business people to interact across disciplinary lines in intuitive ways, while bypassing a lot of the psychological inhibitors that occur in traditional meetings between people.

I've always had a passion for intuition, what it is, its various flavors, and perhaps how to harness it for good (harness is not a good word, that's impossible, but you get the idea).

My latest project is WorldHappinessMeter.com,, the subject of a separate post to the group.

Hello All,

I am writing as a follow-up. I had planned on finishing the thesis in early fall and to be back working with you guys sometime around October. However, this is not how the events have played out. In effect, it will be a bit longer before I can get back to this group, however I have not forgotten the GCP and when the time is right I will be happy to be more involved in the work group.

Kind regards,
And happy impending holiday season!

Hello everyone!
Thank you very much for allowing me to enter the GCP group. It really is an honor besides that, this project has been a great inspiration to extend my work in the interdisciplinary field. I am a computer programmer for 30 years, musician and writer-novelist ago.
When I applied for admission to the group, I provided details of a project, for which, I come on since about more than half a year. It consists of the same principle as the GCP, read the collective mind, or detect such quantum decoherence apparently occurs with events occurred, or succession. My project is called "The egregore" Meter Project, and its information may be found on his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TheEgregorMeterProject
Also, when applying my income, I attached a link to another project that I presented at CERN, the "Prix ARS Electronica Collide", to unite artistic mind, with scientific mind. The link to the project (in Castilian), named "The GOD Machine Project" is as follows: http://www.erminauta.com/2013/12/proyecto-de-mi-autoria-presentado-en-el.html
They may know more about me at: http://about.me/nelsonressio
Thank you very much again, greetings to all, happy new year and hope to remain a good apprentice GCP :.

Greetings from Scotland! And thanks for allowing me to post here almost immediately after my request. My name is Mark Dammer. I have followed the GCP and PEAR for years because the relationship between consciousness and matter has interested me almost my entire life - as a curious experimenter, a Buddhist and last but not least direct experience. Professionally I work as a freelance IT consultant with the focus on ethical hacking, Python and Javascript / HTML5 / CSS development. I own an "Orion" REG and have done some very interesting experiments with my own Python version of the gcpegg sofware.
