Hi,

Can anybody help me with this. I have to pass some data between two swfs.
They load at different times. I mean not at the same time. so Local Connection cannot be established.

Also, I have to open 2nd screen of SWF2(not loaded) when i click on screen1 of SWF1(loaded).

Please help.

Thanks in advance!!
RK

hi, i would please to answer you but can you answer these questions first

1) what these swf's do?
2) is this a flex mobile or web project?
3) connecting with FMS?

Hi RK,
I have done this. It is a sub applications concept.
These links will be helpful.

As far as i know, we cannot have control on swf which was not yet loaded.

Thanks,
Nag.

Both the swf are loaded in portal environment.
So consider i have 2 menus in portal, Menu1 loads SWF1. Menu2 loads SWF2.

So when i m on Menu1,SWF1 loads and when i click anyhting on SWF! it should change to menu2 and load SWF2 second screen.

So, how can i achie such a scenario. I have to pass some parameter to SWF2 from SWF1 to load second screen in SWF2.

I dont think SWFLoader will work as its not child application. Both are main applications....

Please suggest.

2) is this a flex mobile or web project? Web project
3) connecting with FMS? What do u mean by FMS?

Hii,

Use modules and see how modules communicate each other.

Thanks

HI,
My suggestion is LocalConnection.....using this u can achieve ur task.....i have used like this concept like we can pass any object or string   to swf 2 and connection will listen  ur object or any actions in swf 2....

read about LocalConnection b/w swf to swf....

Hey LocalConnection will not work here as both SWFs have to be loaded at the same time to establish the connection...That wont work here.
