EPC 2012. Just a small update.

Hi guys,
Just a few words to let you know about EPC 2012. As mentioned in other
threads, it will be celebrated in Spain, in Madrid to be more precise.
What is not still clear are the dates 'cause we depend on the
availability of the venue. Hopefully dates, website and more info
about the event will be announced before the end of the year. But I
can advance that you shouldn't expect the championship before May or
June (may be even later).
I know everything is quite preliminar, but rest assured that we are
working on it. You all will know about the tournament with time enough
for making your plans.
Until further notices, keep flipping ;)

Good to hear that work is already in progress towards EPC 2012!
Hopefully you will be able to find dates that don't collide with the ones for other big tournaments around the world.
At least IFPA 9 (in June, what I have heard about plans) and PAPA (in mid-August like usual, I don't know?) should be the ones to be aware of.
It was sad to see Pinburgh and EPC2011 collide in dates. That's the reason I'm writing this.
Hopefully you will be able to find dates that don't collide with the ones for other big tournaments around the world.

I see on the Petacos forum it is stated as being September 14th-16th.
Is this now confirmed?

Right. The venue has been finally confirmed by Madrid authorities for
September 14th-16th. Therefore we are working with this date.
Not too much else to tell by now, we're working in inner matters and
solving some preliminar problems. Hopefully I'll be able to give you
more info in a couple of weeks, but we don't want to make it really
public by now.

I've sent a mail to europinbal...@gmail.com to register the Swedish team
but with no response and the team is not added to the participating
teams on the EPC web page.

Hi Jörgen,
To be honest, we were a bit surprised that Sweden didn't inscribe his team until now. In fact, I sent a message to Patrik Bodin several weeks ago asking about it, but he never answered.
As you may have read in EPC 2012 website, it was Patrik, as IFPA country director, the one who should inscribe swedish team for EPC, but seeing that we are almost on date, I'll tell the guys on charge of EPC 2012 Country Competition to include Sweden.

I searched my inbox, and I don't find your email. To what address did you send it?
Unfortunately I am in Bangalore, and will not make it to Madrid, so i have not been involved in any team talks this time. It will be the first time that I miss the EPC. :(
Hopefully, Jörgen and his boys can defend the viking honor in my absence. ;)
