Hello,

Is it possible to create custom reports on a hosted version of ERPNext?

I am in need of a "where used" report to find out which product BoMs a particular item is used on (this is a standard requirement in manufacturing systems where a part might become obsolete and the impact needs assessing). I thought I could do this with a custom report, but I can't seem to get the report system working. I have tried adding #query-report to the end of the URL to get to the report designer page. This works, but I get 404 error when I try to create a new report. I have System Manager permissions, but I don't have access to the machine or source that is running.

Regards,

Hi Mark,

You can make custom reports using "Report Builder" in hosted version, Query/Script Report are disabled.

For your specific requirement, make report from Toolbar --> Report --> Select BOM. Select required columns from "Pick Columns" options. You should use columns from "BOM Explosion Item" table for raw materials.

Save the report with some name. After refreshing the system, you will find the report in Manufacturing Home page under Custom Reports.

Thanks,
Nabin Hait

Thanks Nabin,

That worked very well. I hadn't realised I could create custom reports that way.
