Alert notifications

Hi ERPNext,

Well i was surfing project module and in task , could we send a notification email or atleast mark in to do list of concerned person before 3 days of end date of task.Just to take notice of the closing date of task, as it can be critical to deliver the products and services at proper and right time.


Well i feel this could be value added feature, if we could send notification/trigger an alert by sending a mail or atleast in  task to do , at a particular day , just like assign to is there.


I also feel like task to do feature's importance is lessened , by the fact most of personals never even bother to click and see.Could we add a column in home screen, where you can mark all the important details for a day.
All the pending events can be marked for the day.

Hi Sharhan,

Please ask user to check To-Do list. The listing on ERPNext home page is not possible as the structure of this product is modular.

If you got expertise, you can customize the task for sending alerts and notification to users. Please review Github code for help to write the required script.

Good suggestion - I think the point has come that we need to consolidate all notifications in ERPNext. I think, we can send out a daily email to users if they have open notifications (To Do or Events coming up).
