Query Report For Sales between two dates

I want to generate a query report between two date but where clause didn't work,Please guide me , I am using mysql

        select  `tabSales Invoice`.Name,
                `tabSales Invoice`.Posting_Date,
                `tabSales Invoice`.Debit_to,
                `tabSales Invoice`.rounded_total
          from  `tabSales Invoice`,                
                `tabSales Invoice Item`
         Where  `tabSales Invoice`.name=  `tabSales Invoice Item`.parent
           and  `tabSales Invoice`.Posting_Date >="01-01-2012"

use posting date as yyyy-mm-dd
