erpnext fork working issue

Hello All,
    I have forked the erpnext on git  and cloned it to my local machine to make change and push updated to git fork. After cloning i found there there are only files and folder containing in app folder. i have also creaded new db and imported the master.sql in it. When we use install_erpnext.py to install it creates conf.py in parallel to app folder where we define db credentials. In clone of fork where can i create it ? . In .conf file in apache folder we give path till public folder here is only folder in app folder.
   How can i run the cloned fork on my local host to make changes and push to git.
