My project includes the following documents. (1) My lesson plan on Social Psychology for my AP Psych students (for next school year) This document includes the links to my Voice Thread for my students. (2) The document I'll be using to facilitate the in-class hook and (3) the project guidelines for my students which will be posted on my class link through my school's website (I am unable to do so yet, since I'm not teaching this year).
Thanks and I look forward to hearing your comments, critiques and suggestions!
Here is my final version of my project. I have also included a movie version of my intro powerpoint (the movie allows for better processing of the audio and videos in the powerpoint). I have also included a link to the screencast video that will be used as the "how to" part of the project. I look forward to your comments and suggestions.Link to Screencast:
Hello!
Your video is informative for your students! Also, I am assuming that this is for some sort of technology class, since the lesson is about being taught to use PowerPoint, is that correct (grade level?)? A suggestion - if the lesson is about presentation skills, maybe you could open up for them another presentation option like Prezi, which is really intuitive and wouldn't require much class time to "teach".
Hello Brett
I enjoy your project and I love the concept of having your students create wiki pages for the different tribes. It is interesting to think of it as moderizing the tribes by putting them on a wiki page. The students would I think really enjoy this type of lesson.Your rubric is very detailed and would seem like it would provide the students with a solid version of what is to be expected and what grade they could achieve. I am a huge fan of rubrics as they tell the students exactly what is expected and allow them to really create the most or exactly what they want for the grade they want to get. What role do you think rubrics play and how might they be changed in this digital age and with what we have learned about in this class?

Hi, Thanks for your questions.
I believe that,(a presentation to class or adults), involves some of the highest levels of Blooms Taxonomy where the student must analyze the artwork and describe to others what it means to them – actually synthesizing the material they know. I believe that once a student teaches the information on a topic, they have usually reached the modalities of visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and then they further cement the information by tying it to a text to real life experience. This has been proven by Johns Hopkins University to be a sound program for literacy achievement. www.googleartproject.com is a free download from Google and has many more features than the what I mentioned in the lesson.
