I'm near Baltimore, so traveling to Boston from here would probably be a bit of a stretch. The only thing we did in class was separating dna from pureed bananas. It was an interesting lab, and we went into the basics of how transgenic organisms are made, but it wasn't very specialized, and we didn't have any labs on that specifically, which is why I took interest in this, to take what I learned one step further. And thanks for the link, I'll check it out :)

Okay, awesome! I saw the Bosslab post on their gfp-E.coli, really neat. I figured it was one of the easier things that could be done considering it's only bacteria, and how many people have done it .
