Does anyone know any good institutes that might offer a Masters program on synthetic biology or feature it as a main part of their currculum?

Thank You.

Not sure of any master programs, but the unis I was looking into for synbio phd programs(before I decided an apprenticeship would be better) are Berkley, UCSF, Rice, MIT, Harvard and Stanford. There are a few other options with relatively new programs but I'd only pick one of those if you are familiar with the PI.

Hi,

The Institute of Systems and Synthetic Biology in France has put in place 2 years ago a master for systems and synthetic Biology. It is an international and english speaking program. You'll get more info on http://www.issb.genopole.fr/Education.
Cheers!

Thanks Jacob. Additionally,I would like to know wat do you exactly mean by an apprenticeship?    is it like a temporary research position and if so how does a foreign student apply for it?

regards,
Yanz

Applying with a degree from a foreign institution is encouraged actually. They got interesting scholarship for foreign students.

Answered this earlier but will repost. The top phd programs in the US imo are Berkley, UCSF, Rice, MIT, Harvard and Stanford. Also have heard good things about Illinois at Urbana-champagne.
