Hmm...lots of problems getting postings to show up from my email, let's try posting directly to the group.

Anybody thinking bachelor today?

Hey Glen,
After much effort trying to determine why my phone is no longer syncing with gmail, I still am not getting emails without manually refreshing my account, so I didn't know anyone was thinking about flying. In any case the forecast didn't look bad but like yesterday the forecast and reality were not jiving.

Oh well, guess I'll jive with my two flights at the ridge yesterday (hey, the first one counts, my feet left the ground for at least a half second following my 50 yard takeoff run!)

Glen, did anyone get a good flight in at the Ridge or was it sledders all around?

We all got absolutely STELLAR flights. Yeah, that's the ticket!

The cycles were blowing down the ridge, so it was a process of waiting for an anti-cycle then seeing how fast you could run.

Bill Brisky and I both got two flights for the price of one hike. Our first flights were rather short (and consisted of running until it was clear that this was just not going to work out). My second flight lasted almost 2 whole minutes!

Wade was actually the first to commit aviation, and following a thrilling 50 yard dash/sled ride he decided that the conditions were so great that he just simply had to satisfy his need for speed...so he hiked back up and launched his handkerchief, umm,  I mean speed wing.

Rounding out the report: Peter sledded gracefully from launch to parking, while Irish Mike proved the smartest of us all by simply hanging around the cars and drinking beer while the rest of us provided him with entertainment.
