So *at last* there appears to be a break in the weather, bringing the possibility of some fine cycling.

This improvement has put me in a reflective mood and made me consider what part of Ipswich I enjoy cycling in the most, and why.

Before I reveal my favourite cycle spot in Ipswich, perhaps some others in the group could share theirs?

My favourite is St Helens Street from the bottom of Grove Lane to the junction with Rope Walk during the morning rush-hour when I can zip along and thank my lucky stars that I am able to go by bicycle and don’t have to sit in a car which is going nowhere.

@Pete - I hope that's a joke about liking any road out of Ipswich....bearing in mind that most roads OUT of Ipswich are uphill! :)

My favourite is downhill on Route 51 through Holywells Park. Except for the occasional fallen tree, chasing dog and startled pedestrian, I find the freshness of the air, the energising light and the general ambience to be cycle commuter heaven.

I enjoy cycling  back from the cinema, side by side with Liz,  along New Cut West in the evening,
