Hi, I have HP550 model laptop. My Problem is When I am trying to burn a CD or DVD its not buring the data on CD.
I have tested 4 CDs but fails to burn. It starts burning but whn the process is being close to finish nero gives an error like some "read logical part"

Anybody know what is the problem?

Have you tried to uninstall Nero completely and reinstall?

Have you tried to just burn a data CD using Windows integrated
features?

since the compaq presario f550 is CTO (custom to order) in the US (and spec sheets are unavailable on the web) and you did not indicate the letters after the 550 such as vy I was unable to determine if the drive in your notebook is DL capable (dual layer). In order to burn 8 gb discs u must have a drive that is Dual Layer capable AND use a Dual Layer disc. You did not indicate whether you have both or either of these.

the driver would show a DL logo on the front panel, where it loads the
disc.
the same apply for the disc, a DL logo is shown, or simply written on
it, a DUAL LAYER disc, the disc is some what different, it is shiny in
both layers (facing)...and it needs a special pen to write, never
tried the usual pen, but i think it will harm the data....not sure.
