FACTS:
You can purchase a used 2016 16GB/2GB 2-core used iPhone SE for about $85
at Walmart, which seems like a good stocking stuffer for the upcoming

Apple ecosystem.

LOGIC:
How much was that 16GB iPhone SE when it first sold? Around $400 perhaps?
So that iPhone SE still has about one fifth of its original value, three
and a half years after it released. Pretty good, right?
By way of factual comparison, a quick search for the sale price of my 32GB
LG Stylo 3 Plus shows it to be around $150 on Amazon
