I have a ccTiddly site which I set up about 3 years ago. I created it first as a TiddlyWiki prototype, which I then merged into the ccTiddly site following instructions which I've long since forgotten. My understanding is that both ccTiddly and TiddlyWiki have improved since then, and I would like to upgrade. However, I'm not sure how to do this. For starters, my former TiddlyWiki notebook is now a bunch of sql records, so there's no actual TW file which I can point to extract tiddlers, etc. I've found little recent help on how to upgrade ccTiddly itself. Could somebody please advise me what I need to do and how to go about doing it?

Cheers,

Eric.

Are you able to open the ccTiddly Tiddlywiki file in the browser?

If you can access it in the browser just try importing that URL into the latest standalone TiddlyWiki.

Thanks

Simon

Nice hearing from you again, Simon -- Thanks for the quick reply.

My site is accessed using the URL "http://mollycat.ucdavis.edu/cctiddly/". The default file this points to is "index.php", which dynamically builds a TiddlyWik instance. So, I'm unsure what you mean by the "ccTiddly Tiddlywiki file", as there doesn't actually seem to be one!

I'm using the site as a shared internet wiki mainly frequented by our colleagues worldwide to keep current with our lab. You can see it at http://mollycat.ucdavis.edu/cctiddly/. I prototyped it as a stand-alone TiddlyWiki document several years ago. Once it was in shape, I ported it to the ccTiddly platform for sharing and it's been quite stable since. I'm embarrassed to say that I don't have the original prototype file, as it can essentially be reconstructed at any time by just saving the current source as a real html file. I just did it to verify this!

I've come to realize in reading the TiddlyWiki Google group that there are many useful and substantial improvements which have been made in TW, and want to know how I can incorporate these into my site. I suspect that, from your email, I've done something horribly wrong and that there should be a master file somewhere. Any help you can give will be greatly welcomed!

Cheers,

Eric.

Sorry,

I meant import from the URL that you use to view the ccTiddly instance. It sounds like its:

http://mollycat.ucdavis.edu/cctiddly/

In the standalone TiddlyWiki, try importing that URL.

Thanks

Simon
