gnuplot executable not found

[Aska123]

When I try to run Castaliaplot command .

I got error

CastaliaPlot ERROR: gnuplot executable not found (need to install gnuplot?)

Hoe to install it.

one more thing

each time I run any Castalia command , I have to follow path 

e.g.

 ../../bin/CastaliaResults  or  ../../bin/CastaliaPlot

How to use commands without ../../bin

Did you tried:

sudo apt-get install gnuplot

To run without ../ add the following lines to the file '~/.profile' - and '~/.bash_profile' if you use the machine remotely with ssh.

PATH=$PATH:$HOME/omnetpp-4.1/bin:$HOME/Castalia-3.2/bin
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$HOME/omnetpp-4.1/lib

note that you need to change $HOME/omnetpp-4.1 and $HOME/Castalia-3.2 with the correct paths if you put then in a different place. eg. $HOME/usr/omnetpp-4.1

If I remember, convert is part os imagemagick package.

Try:
sudo apt-get install imagemagick

Then try again.

apears that your problem is with CastaliaPlot is not in PATH. Please, do the following:

To run without ../ add the following lines to the file '~/.profile' - and '~/.bash_profile' if you use the machine remotely with ssh.

thanks for your time and your help . I do as you suggest then I got this:

CastaliaPlot: WARNING 'convert' tool not found, only ps and eps formats will be supported

then I tried to use this script:

sudo apt-get install imagemagick

then I try to use CastaliaPlot as the user manual suggest:

CastaliaResults -i 140212-170704.txt -s packets -n -f Test1 | CastaliaPlot -o interfTest1-app-varyModel.png -s stacked

but nothing appear to me. why? please help me.
