Whattup? My name's Mike. I'm new to the group. Been looking for some hunter/fishermen for some time in the city. Just wondering if there is a meet-up or anything you guys do so I can meet some of you, get the lowdown, etc. I'm interested in some hunting this fall, especially deer hunting, or fishing whenever.

Welcome Mike!
We have the occasional weekday evening meet up at Bloodhound, although it has been a little while. Other than that, some folks will get together to hunt or fish. I expect there will be a get together or two this summer.
I assume you have some hunting experience, having moved here from Wisconsin?

I'll be heading into the city on BART, so hopefully some other people
will be able to make it?!
I'm interested in discussing ideas for a pig hunt in July, and maybe a
deer hunt in September/October? I was also intrigued by Dave Grove's
bear hunting experience in yolly bolly last year, sounded like a lot
of fun.

I would love to meet up, but work is crazy this week and I can't make it.
If you guys do meet, let me know about any other planned events! Anyone want to meet at a range sometime this summer? I'm pretty good at shooting in the general direction of things but need more practice!
Josh - a lot of us have gone hunting with Dave and have loads of good things to say about the experience. I'm sure that hunt would be awesome!

Hi all, with only 2 others confirmed I think I'm going to skip the 1hr
+ trip each way from the east bay for the happy hour this time
(sorry!) - if others are planning to be there, pipe up! But I would
love to do some virtual brainstorming with anyone interested in my
previously mentioned endeavors. My grandparents-in-law live up in
Weaverville on property bordering Trinity NF that I've seen a few deer
on, and have been eyeing for awhile. I'm really hoping to make a go of
it this fall.
