Please have your apk in recorder folder & configure default.properties. Or you can just wait as we are going to release .8.2 version with sample apk.

Hi Moiz,

Please provide steps into getting recording to work if running from the source.

I have a compiled apk file in the recorder folder and my recorder.properties looks like this :

SERVER_IP=10.0.2.2

SERVER_PORT=8080

SESSION_NAME=bot-bot

SERVER_NAME=localhost

I am trying to record wordpress.apk ant recorder gives me errors ,I run  java -jar /server/target\bot-bot-server-standalone.jar

Remove "localhost" from server name.
Server name is used when you had deployed the bot-bot recording server onto a web server like tomcat.

Thanks Varun ,that worked like a charm,however i get 100% fail rate even though I logged in before running the test.

How do I record tests ? after running recorder I get BUILD SUCCESSFUL whats next ?

Adb logs shows the status of recording. In case its unable to record on
server it throws msg for it .
Have you tried refreshing the server page.

Yes the error log I see but it does not record text editing is it possible to do a calabash-android console apk here ? Or how do I identify those views I am using Wordpress.apk

It records text edit. we have to use the change listener for it.
I didnt got a chance to look at calabash console apk that you are talking about.
