The Senior Director, UX Strategy &
Design is a proven leader of creative UX teams, who designs impactful
digital experiences and understands the role of mobile technology and
location-aware interactions in a retail environment. This
position calls for an inspiring leader with a collaborative spirit and the ability to strategize and supervise
creative
and innovative solutions through design-thinking philosophy. The right
candidate has led and developed a team, is comfortable envisioning
experiences, and has strong communication skills.
Responsibilities;
Management
Building
a high performing team by selecting the best talent with a range of
diverse backgrounds and experiences and giving team members
responsibility and accountability, stepping back and allowing them to do
their work
Reallocating people and resources appropriately to
deliver on priorities under tight deadlines; responsible for managing a
large team of web and mobile UX employees and contractors
Ensuring UX team meets agreed upon milestones, mitigating risk and maximizing process efficiency
Identifying, mentoring, and developing UX talent to empower the team to
stay informed of changes in the industry, constantly learn and grow as
designers
Strategy
Creates plans that align the people, culture, communications and processes needed to take action and make decisions
Identifies potential risks and subsequent mitigation strategies when developing plans
Keep focused on long-term, strategic goals while executing against short-term objectives
Design
Provide UX thought-leadership with a focus on converting strong conceptual thinking to impactful
experiences
Work with peers and partners to contribute concepts to product
strategy, develop user journeys, and influence decision-making as it
relates to defining impactful experiences
Ensure that UX designs and interactions are accurately developed in final product for optimal effect and support of user goals
Embody best-in-class UX thinking, unending curiosity and creative
energy to achieve great outcomes and superior omnichannel experiences
Insights
Gain insights into customer behavior and digital properties’ analytics to help drive product enhancements
Leverage usability testing and other modes of user feedback and measurement to create
better and more impactful experiences
Required Qualifications
5-8 years experience in Adobe creative suite, wireframing and rapid prototyping tools
5 plus years experience in portfolio of producing web applications with
rich interfaces(AJAX,Flex/Flash, etc…)Health Care, PBM, Pharmacy and/or
Retail experience
5 plus years of extensive knowledge of user experience as it relates to retail digital commerce
5 plus years of experience in designing designing successful digital experiences
5 - 8 years of experience leading, inspiring and organizing design teams to deliver top notch experiences
Solid understanding of the design of web applications and services
Proven track-record launching consumer-facing web or software applications.
5
plus years of experience in understanding of user-centered design and
product ,development processes and demonstrated experience using these
effectively
Demonstrated experience leveraging user research effectively.
Strong
analytical and oral communication skills; ability to effectively
communicate creative vision to varying audiences and at all levels of an
organization
Entrepreneurial spirit combined with corporate know-how
Customer first mindset; passion for improving customer experience
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred, in Graphic Design,
Information Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Human Factors or
similar degree.
