CentOS.r.5

I am looking at installing BBB on my CentOS-based Server.
Most (all?) the docs and .sh code seem to out-of-date or not
available.

Does anyone have copies of older BBB version docs | scripts floating
around ?
Or any directions, pointers, tutorial links for what tasks would be
needed
to prepare a CentOS oriented (Yum-my;) package to get this working ?

hmm.. not seen much interest re: centos; maybe bbb@centos is a

I was not looking to learn why BBB doesn't work on CentOS,
But looking for some pointers and older code and kindred
    to make BBB work @ CentOS.

Not a single, single answer yet ?!!
I suppose that since April 7th no one has had quite the time to
spare to help point my utterly ++% dedication for open source -
towards the right directions and 'help me apply my immense
IT experience $0 free, 24x7 - towards yabbbp to be enjoyed..!

I am actually offering my efforts to a CentOS package for BBB,
if anyone wantsa see that pipe-dream, live... help me or only
ubuntu for bbb....;-oO;X;P

If you looking for a like minded person to help with a CentOS, I will join in the research, I have tried a time or two, and

after getting the parts together, I find I still don't understand it as I should..and can't get it running completely as should..

And I will not ask for help, sense it not supported.. But keep me in mind for a CentOS team.. I would like to see that worked out.

Our choice of OS is Centos but I treat BBB as a blackbox and best kept
on a separate server. You really need to use the latest version anyway
to get the most out of it. You could try using KVM and run it in a
virtual machine on Centos (Centos 6 would be a better OS for that).

Running a virtual instance using KVM IS 100% open source. RHEL5 is old
hat (forgive the pun) so you should be using Centos 6 anyway, vast
improvement. Maintaining two distros is a lot of work but worth it for
some projects but BBB should be run on its own server and therefore it
doesn't matter what flavour of Linux you use. The most important bit is
that is works well and is well supported.

ThX soo much for yr comments. Somewhat 'enlightening' to know of the alternatives and options.
I'm kinda lacking in real Linux distros portability (tho was willing to learna s fast as needed;).
This CentOS/KVM angle is f=refreshing; I will be doing more research into what it will take..
BBB looks like a very good choice - given the scarcity of substantive & substantial working,
workable & supported conferencing platforms - for VOIP, Video & other inevitable 'wanted' features.
(    PS: what is that "RHCE (RHEL 6) " in yr sig ?    )
