Hi all,
im new to bbb and look if it cover our requirements or not.
We
like to do a dual training. Onsite participants in classroom and online
participants in addition the the classroom. For this szenario we have
some requeirements which seems not covered yet.
1. Do some experienced user comment the requirements if they can handle out of the box or not
I've participated in hybrid classes using BigBlueButton.
2. Maybe someone can contact me for assistance to solve the requirements
You've
posted to bigbluebutton-dev, and we all volunteer our time here to help
others. Are you a not-for-profit? If you are a commercial
organization, you can certainly ask for volunteers, but if you
need commercial support, see also
I
am an selfemployed trainer. This ist not private but also not realy a
company. I like to find help maybe for self developing but also like to
sponsor a little.
Some days ago i ask a company listet at the support website - but no
reaction to me at the moment. Maybe i have to do it for myself. There i
really ned some help.
The list of reuirements:
a) Whats transpitted as presentation/shared Desk has also to be showed at a beamer for the onsite classroom
I
think you are asking what is transmitted. Sharing of presentation is
the most efficient. Once the slides are downloaded, the only messages
get sent are events, such as next, previous, whiteboard drawing, etc --
all very low bandwidth.
Sharing of desktop creates a video stream and uses
the most bandwidth in a session. A presenter needs to have good
upstream bandwidth (such as 1MBits/sec) to have reasonable updates. The
more bandwidth, the better. See
I know the differences. But i think there is a missunderstanding.
At the beamer i don´t like to show the whole presenter view to the local
participants. They should see only the presentation OR the shared
Desktop - always the same what is viewed to the remote participants.
That is the point of interest.
b) the trainer uses a presenter like logitech R400. Here we need shortcuts to get next/prev slide or mute/freeze transmitting
That looks like a wireless mouse/keyboard to control a PC.
The
key bindings are probably very centric to Microsoft Powerpoint (such as
<F5>). We haven't tried to follow the Microsoft Powerpoint key
bindings in BigBlueButton. There are a few that are probably similar:
once you have focus on the presentation window, you can use the left and
right arrows to advance the presentation.
Yes - it is a wireless keyboard with small number of keys. And yes - it
is very centric to M$ PowerPoint because it is the marked leader. And
merket leaders making something like standars even they are not called
as a standard.
c)
sometimes the online participants should see the trainer only and in a
big window. For this the video has to be viewed in a oversized windows
in the center of the participants screen. This should be done by
shortkey (<F5> could be nice because it´s used by presenter like
logitech R400) and other shortkey should switch back to normal view
(<ESC> would be nice)
We're working on merging a layout manager into BigBlueButton for release 0.81. See
d) breakoutsessions are needed
This feature is definitely on our road map, but not planned for 0.81. For the roadmap, see
e) some stamps like to use at the whiteboard for fast marking slides
Not sure what you are asking here.
At this time i only can leave a line in fifferent colors and differnt
with. If a can select a symbol (f.e. X) than i can point to a locaition
at a slide and leave the X with a click insteat of starting a line.
It it More helpful?
Who can tell me something about that features?
Any help? Professionals are welcome...
