Anyone have current information on Robert Beckman and his business Robert Beckman Designs in Bend Oregon?...Thanks....

In the past I tried to communicate with him regarding racks, but never managed to earn a reply. In the end I might have been fortunate as apparently quite a few customers who managed to place orders ended up far more frustrated.

Many many years ago I ordered panniers from him. He ran my credit card for the full amount several months before I received the panniers. Alls well that ends well. I was rather concerned for awhile.

Postscript to my Post:Robert Beckman Designs:Status:
After a brief seach I found a phone number, 541.388.5146, for Robert Beckman Designs, called, and left a message as directed...Much to my surprise, the next day I received a call from Mr Beckman...This initial contact led to several e-mails which included pictures of his recent efforts to develop gear specific for ultra-lite touring...He also reports that he is retooling his web site to reflect these interests as well as other changes...It should be back on-line soon...
I'm happy to report Robert Beckman Designs is far from defunct and that he continues to apply his talents and skills to the design and fabrication of quality cycling products..
Disclaimer: I own two sets of Robert Beckman panniers and consider their design and construction first rate...
