We went to the thrift store last night, and I haven't been able to post about my find. It was only Chomp, but a Gamewright with the instructions is worth posting. $.99, Auburn Salvation Army.

the day.

I picked up the Pirates of the Caribbean Scene It? from VV for $3.  Don't know if I'll keep it, but the movers are neat.  =)

I found Pop Belly by Simply Fun at Goodwill this week. It's a kid's
game, designed by Klaus Teuber. It's not exactly the best thing ever,
but I've been on such a dry spell that I felt like I hit the
jackpot!

Then I was sad to find that a couple of the pig bellies were broken.
So, I emailed the company to see about buying replacements- they are
sending me new bellies for free! Yay for customer service!

I'm guessing this will be a "babysitter game". My kids are getting to
be known for the cool games they bring when they baby sit other's
kids.

Picked up Loot still in shrink for $.75 yesterday. Even had the
customer survey sheet in it.

Since it won't affect my purposely controled thrift thumbs for this
year, I'll post a find from yesterday.

In Portland I found a copy of Ticket to Ride at DI for $3, tax free of
course. A little bit of damage with a split corner on the box top and
some dried up rubberband residue on two cards and on the board. None
of the paper ripped off the cards, and the stain on the board is way
up in Canada. Otherwise it's complete and still very playable.

Let this be a lesson to you all: Don't use rubberbands!

Also, look out Portlanders and Vancouverinos. I'm in your shops
again. Last weekend in Vancouver I grabbed Stuff Yer Face at SA.
Mwahahahaha!

I found the piece I was missing to complete my copy of Square Mile.

Hey fellow thrifters!

Wanted to report my findings from a few weeks ago that I haven't been able to post.

Scored another Jumanji with 4 more 8 sided dice for another set of 8 dice for my Zombies!!! Mall Madness Variant!  Jumanji did come with two different sized dice, which luckily I've thrifted now 4 copies and got 2 matching sets.  Plus the boards are very useful to cut up for additional boards to prototype games!

I think I also got some more dominoes for my cow tipper game as well.

Darn it... I wish there were thrift stores in Hong Kong with
boardgames...

Nothing much exciting here. Another copy of Quarto, and the "golden
cavalry guy" version of risk, which I would have passed on except the
pieces were all still unopened. $3 each.

I picked up Dominion at a consignment store for $11, the box was all
taped, which has ruined the art... or rather I ruined the art pulling
off the tape. But it was 100% complete and the cards were in
excellent condition.

Stopped refreshing BGG long enough to go down to Salvation Army, and picked up my first Heroscape find. :)

It's the Marvel Master Set, which I think my nephews will be excited about.

Complete and everything bagged, for $2.99

I love this game. I have the Super Secret Spies reprint, but it is still essentially the same game.

It's a fun hidden agent game. You get to spend each of your turn's movement points across any combination of agents on the board. The trick is to maneuver your agent into a favorable scoring position when the scoring phase comes up without tipping your hand and showing which one is actually your agent.  You do this by hiding it in groups or pushing other agents into more favorable positions than your own.

Not a bad game.

I hadn't heard of this tip.

Care to elaborate on specifically how to do this so that it is most effective?

YOU didn't have the 30%-OFF coupon from your Safeway receipts?!? Oh, girl, YOU GO BACH! with these, when you gets any, since I'd gotten "Alien Hotshots" earlier in the week here, for a mere $.69! COMPLETE! At another store then I even got me a couple of them Puzz-3D for "Notre Dame" & "Castle Camelot"!

"it's ONLY a Puzz-3D model!"
