Hi,

I'm completely new to Aspen and Python - plus I'm working on the MS Windows platform, so please bare with :-)

I'm looking for a jump start description to at least get a "hello world" response in my browser.

What I have done so far:

- Installed Python
- Executed the steps from http://aspen.io/quick-start/ (apart from the POSIX and virtualenv things ... as I dont know what they are or where to get them.)

Result:

D:\Python27\www>aspen
pid-8024 thread-5332 (MainThread) Oh no! Aspen crashed!
pid-8024 thread-5332 (MainThread) Traceback (most recent call last):
pid-8024 thread-5332 (MainThread) File "D:\Python27\env\lib\site-packages\aspe
n\server.py", line 122, in main
pid-8024 thread-5332 (MainThread) _main(argv)
pid-8024 thread-5332 (MainThread) File "D:\Python27\env\lib\site-packages\aspe
n\server.py", line 26, in _main
pid-8024 thread-5332 (MainThread) signal.signal(signal.SIGHUP, SIGHUP)
pid-8024 thread-5332 (MainThread) AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribu
te 'SIGHUP'

Any help highly appreciated.

Thanks for trying Aspen! Unfortunately it's broken on Windows right now. :-(

I've started a GitHub ticket to track the issue:

I promised someone else earlier in the week that I'd get to this. I need it myself for a class I'm teaching in the Fall. Hopefully this weekend?
