Any s10-3t tricksters still out there?

I just wanted to start a new topic regarding the latest builds for this awesome device (favorite toy)

So far I've only tested the two that I've found from http://www.android-x86.org/download

http://android-x86.googlecode.com/files/android-x86-2.2-r2-s103t.iso (released 11-23-11)
http://android-x86.googlecode.com/files/android-x86-4.0-RC1-eeepc.iso (released 2-28-12)

currently using using 4.0-RC1
- screen rotation, - usb, - and a few other features are not working but it runs like a charm +

does anyone know of a better build to use? Is someone really cool working on a jelly bean version for this target? ^,^

any updates for the s10-3t would be much appreciated +

Hi,
are you building the iso yourself? Chih-Wei has just released RC2 (android 4.04) and uploaded iso image for s10-3t as well. How about using that image instead and post issues here?

I keep monitoring this group since the latest release for s10-3t image (RC1), but it has been only a few post here and there mentioning s10-3t, so I have been wondering, whether users are quite content with the latest image they have or
there are indeed very few s10-3t users here, I guess it is the latter :) So, for all s10-3t users, please help to test this release and post found issues here.

best regards,

Robill

The new release RC2 for s10-3t has arm emulation or we have to build it from source???

yes, it already has the support, but you need to copy the intel binaries yourself because they have copyright. Follow this instruction for how to do it:

1) actually those instructions seem to assume your building your
own...

2) why would you release as open source from the same code base one
build with
everything and 4 builds with missing libraries??? tegav2 has
everything from
the link you gave...eeepc/asus/etc. do not????

Yes, I also prefer using this device on android and am just trying out RC2. So far, it is an improvement over RC1. With RC2, I can now view videos full screen, at least. But, some just play the audio or fail to play in partial screen. Not sure why. I'll keep trying it to see what else works.

Hi, policeman,

Are there any changes to your S10-3t iso other than the addition of the ARM libs?

Thanks,
Jake

Hi, jakfish,

nope, just added some apps (maket working, antivirus, etc) and copied arm libs.
For users who don't know how to install them. Maybe I'll add some tricks specially for s10-3t in future, but not now.

P.S.: Red flashing border is also removed btw.

Hi, policeman,

Sounds great. I've suddenly noticed that I have no cpu frequency and scaling. Machine is locked in at maximum speed of 1833mhz. Are you able scale to lower speeds of 1333 and 1000?

Hi PoliceMan,
I have downloaded your iso and installed on my s10 3t. Booting, touch screen , wifi and all other stuff is fine..but my main reason - the ARM translator -doesn't seem to work :( when i go to play store - angry birds and such are not even shown in search. If i directly go to the store in browser, it tells that the device is not supported.. Am I going wrong somehwere in installation? any help?

Thank you,
Sisira

Works great so far, I've installed some apps that didnt install before, like Kindle Reader and Twitter. I wish Google Plus worked though. Thanks for everything so far.
