Building AOSP launcher without private APIs

Hi,

Is it possible to build the ICS AOSP launcher without private APIs so that it will install into any ICS device? I've tried to build the ICS AOSP launcher from the AOSP source but had trouble installing it into regular ICS devices. I keep getting the error INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT.

Did you build in normal AOSP code using make command ?

I face similar error while working on Browser.

->You need to first flash whole system binary before you install any APK build on same code base. 

->Other thing is you can build using eclipse with adding jar files from AOSP build and you may require Keystore files while building.

Till now thats what  my understanding is. lemme know if you found other  way around :)
