How can God punish when you are dead? I never saw God punish anyone...

We are all created as eternal beings. We are like rays. We have a
finite beginning point, but we exist from that point forward.

We are born into sin from Adam (spiritually dead). We also have all
committed our own sin.

God gave us Jesus Christ so we could be forgiven for our sin. He
makes no demand upon anyone except that you must believe in Him and
ask for forgiveness. There is no money involved. No contest. No
obstacle course to go through.

It separates those who seek the truth from those who will not, so
that those who will not will be confined to Hell forever.

But everybody is given the opportunity to come to Jesus and repent.
All they have to do is seek the truth.
