One of the best analysis of a film maker I've ever seen. The essay
shares its title with that of my favorite Talking Heads album.
I didn't know Lynch got into the Vedas and other esoterica. I love
his films and now have a better idea why. Thanks for posting.

Glad you liked it. I really look forward to the new Sight and Sound
polls this year. I find the shifting sands of the canon fascinating.
I plan to base my film history syllabus for the 2012-2013 school year
on the new Sight and Sound polls.
I went to see David Lynch's "Inland Empire" the night before Bob
Wilson's Memorial BBQ.

20 years ago a number of my friends who liked Bob Wilson's work got
really into Twin Peaks, myself included.
