Simple Secure Pairing

Hi all,

I want to know how to apply simple-secure-pairing (SSP) to my AIRcable mini.

Currently, I'm using it's paring mechanism with the @0005 tag in config.txt and the @PIN_CODE interrupt function in AIRcable.bas. But these are all using PIN code categorized as Bluetooth 2.0 legacy pairing.

I wonder how I can apply SPP to mini and how the paring procedure looks like. And if it's better than the current legacy pairing, then I want to use it.

HI RYUJI,

SSP bit is located in
// security
@0006 = 0012 0001

When the 0x0080 of the first entry data is set, it will enable
Security Mode 4, Level 1, or SSP.
The device pairs during link setup with mode 3 devs if no ACL is up.
Since the modules has no user interface, the IO Capability is
indicated as no input or output.
This means that it uses the 'Just Works' model for Simple Secure
Pairing. No Out Of Band (OOB) data is used.

You, as the BASIC programmer, are then responsible for security of your module.
If you are discoverable, the SPP is allowed. You must make the module
non-discoverable
to keep security.

This is the reason why the standard legacy pairing is a much better
security than SPP.
