Dr.Prashanth,
One of my friend has stopped his staff's pay by making that employee's attendance ZERO. Now I tried by updating attendance but not able to generate, could  you help me in this regard.
You have given bit by bit details about NPS arrears, it is very nice. I think you should teach us the way/ style of presentation.
Bye

Sir,

As far as I know and remember being told in the HRMS training, an approved salary bill by making attendance ZERO cannot be regenerated. For all practical purpose, that employee is being sanctioned LWA for all the days of the month if his attendance is made ZERO before approving his paybill.

Making attendance to ZERO is not the right way to stop paybill for an employee. I have written a post about stopping paybill for an employee the right way here - https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/ahvs-hrms/VwBv2WtHFPk

You can try talking to Dr. Ghouse about this issue Sir. He might help in reverting it.

Thank you so much for your immediate reply inspite of your hectic schedule. Will try to speak to him, but pay bill cannot be reverted as other employees salary has beem made. It is for the month of Dec'2010. I realle do not know why these people wii try to find short cuts. Sincerely I will tell you one thing Dr.Prashanth, till when our Doctors (DDO's) will not do salaries or personally take interest in HRMS these kind of mistakes will happen.
Hope in future these kind of mistakes will reduce. One more thing we have to reach each & every DDO, how to reach......?
Whoever already in this group try & get 10 more DDO's into this group, have already forwarded this to all my Vet friends whose ever email ID i had.
See you soon
Bye

Sir,

You are right! Users should avoid using the short-cuts for pursuing tasks in HRMS. The other way round is also true, a good application should not provide short-cuts to users. HRMS has grown a great deal for the past 4years since I started using it. Since this is a huge project, it taks a lot of time to develop. So, we as users should stick to the standard set of protocol while using HRMS.

Secondly, regarding the point you made that every DDO should be involved in drawing salary from HRMS - I strongly second your opinion. For this to happen, first all the DDOs should have the basic working knowledge of HRMS. This should come as an initiative from the DDOs, doing it the compulsary way has reached the threshold of stagnancy.
