I'm speaking soon on the subject of Workplay, which I am describing as making everyday work more like a game ("gamification of work"). Though a lot of the discussion in this group centers on how to use games to convey/learn/teach/innovate/etc. in more-or-less one-off activities, I'm interested to know if any of you have had experiences "gamifying" agile software development or designing day-to-day work to be more gameful. Regardless, I'm interested in this group's thoughts of the idea.

Thanks!

Cordially,
Matt

Hi Matt,

This is the visual I came up with for understanding ways of play at work: http://agilitrix.com/2011/06/three-ways-to-play-for-business-results/
I would include techniques from Improv and Theatre as ways of instilling play in everyday work.

There is also nascent site - Mastery Quest about gamification at work: http://mastery-quest.blogspot.com/
