For all the years that you have been on these forums, your penchant for going along with imbecility, if it suits your mischief making, has never been hidden. As usual, you have done so in going along with Okala's simplistic interpretation of my action.

 

I wrote no petition and I require no one to intervene on my behalf over Joe Igietseme -- whatever he wants with me I am ready to give it to him. I merely called on some people on these forums, some of them are decent people and some are hypocritical busybodies (like you and Okala), to take note of Igietseme's uncalled for attacks. The reason I did that was because I will attack back and some of the decent people may marvel when they feel that I am going too far, while the despicable hypocrites, like you and Okala, will dwell on my actions and not on his provocations.  

 

In Igbo culture, what I did is called "iju ogu" -- loosely translated as putting forth once case before the gods, so that one does not get hounded with one's conscience after undertaking the actions over which the iju ogu became necessary. You, Okala, or anyone else are being shamefully simpleminded in interpreting my "iju ogu" as a petition to you on my behalf -- that is a really stupid interpretation of my action. Nevertheless, you will collectively and individually become accursed hypocrites, damnable by your gods and conscience should you turn around to get on my case for responding to Joe Igietsem in kind. That was the point to my asking people (who may call me out for overreaction) to prevent that by prevailing on the wretch, Joe Igietseme, to leave off my name -- I was not mentioning his name when he was gone or was I?

 

Having dismissed the silly and immature responses from you and Okala, let me deal with the inherent corruption in your minds. Your sole reason for resolving as you have chosen to was simple: you know Joe Igietseme but you know not Nebukadineze. This reasoning is not just stupid, it is also corruption defined and that is why corrupt minded people like you have ruined Nigeria. You need not know someone to speak or decide on fairness -- that's why we choose juries to hear cases in the US; juries ideally listen to the evidence of a particular case, not to anything not related to such a case. That's what Jesus, whom you and Okala hypocritically claim to be following, taught; that was what he did when he allegedly got on the case of the hypocrites who were after the prostitute. Were he as evil minded as you and Okala, he would have gone along with the injustice of despicable male sinners hounding a woman for prostituting herself. When he asked people to give what is Caesar's to Caesar and what is God's to God, he was merely asking them to ignore all biases and prejudices in rendering justice.  

 

Today, Bolaji Ebeneza Aluko and Chukwuemeka Reuben Okala have chosen Mammon over Jesus by allowing the evil spirits that dwell inside of them to take the center stage. Not only did they distort what I wrote, they also allowed evil to determine their response. The corrupt mind set of Aluko and Okala is the reason that Nigeria is a failed state -- people in positions of authority allow evil to dictate their actions.

 

Your claim that I praise you and do the contrary the next day is really stupid. I don't praise you the person, I acknowledge the sound ideas that you exude some of the times. Whether I like you personally or not has nothing to do with recognizing great ideas from you. Over the years on these forums, you have excelled in teaching forumites and breaking down otherwise complex issues with documentation. Even if you were my worse enemy on earth, my conscience would not allow me to not recognize that of you. But as a classic simple minded Nigerian, your interpretation of my recognizing that of you is that I praise you the person or, after recognizing that of you, I should never point out your shortcomings. 

 

Do you folks know what it really means to be principled? A principled person deals with ideas, not the worshiping of personalities. Egomaniacs like you, and most Nigerians, deal with personality and that is why my person is more important to you than my ideas. You ought to be ashamed of yourself, VC Aluko, for being as obtuse as thinking that Nebukadineze Adiele who has no respect for personality, was praising you instead of your ideas. What do I need from you to warrant my praising you?

 

I have supported president Buhari since 1984 because of the ideas he espouses -- incorruptibility. Does that mean that I cannot point out his failings on other areas or any veering off the cliff of incorruptibility by him? Absolutely not. Those of you inchoate Buharites did not become so out of principle and that is why some of you marvel as to my few criticisms of some of his actions. Throughout history, people of conscience and principle have always dismissed corrupt ideas irrespective of who espoused them. As close as Albert Einstein and Fritz Harber were, Einstein wasted no time repudiating his scientific colleague when he corrupted the idea of science by deploying it into warfare -- developing poison gas. Haber's excuse of wanting the war to end quickly and stem the tide of killings did not sway Einstein and history has proved that Einstein was correct (Awo used the same evil excuse when designed starving of Biafran children in order to end the war quickly). 

 

When president Clinton sullied his office by messing around with an  intern, Senator Liberman denounced him on the floor of the senate because the president had veered away from the idea of using the presidency for the betterment of society. Liberman, not the other hypocritical Republicans, could do so because he lived within the moral expectation he held out for the president. Despite his open criticism of the president, they remained friends and colleagues, such that the Clintons even campaigned for him, against the wishes of the Democratic Party, when he risked losing reelection a few years later. The point to the above is that ideas, to sound minds, always trump personalities -- something alien to you Nigerians and which has made you turn your leaders into deities.

 

I do not care about the Joe Igietseme whose link you included below, my focus is on the imbecilic Joe Igietseme of these forums. I have never said that he cannot be a great lab rat, after all there are mathematical geniuses whose IQs are 16. Joe Igietseme's record on these forums is that of an idiot or of an immature rascal. You even observed that when he used to annoy you, at which time you inform everybody that he was a Kukuruku (I didn't even know that then). I cannot judge him or give him a pass based on what he does for a living or where he went to school -- no, that's a Nigerian mentality that tolerates mediocrity. I am judging Joe Igietseme based on the imbecilic history that he has left on these forums, so shove that link where you know not to stick your finger.

 

Again, I never solicited any intervention on my behalf from anyone, all that I did was alert those who might deplore my future responses to not call on me after the fact -- their chance to doing so rests with telling Joe Igietseme to not start the fight in the first place. and Akoko-Edo dialects of the same Yoruba language.

 

Notwithstanding, the Ijebu, Egba, Oyo remain just as much Yoruba as the

Ekiti, Ondo, Akure, and all other Yorubas who speak different

dialects of the same language--some clearly to varying degrees being mutually

unintelligible with one another. Most Yoruba also speak and understand the

standard Oyo dialect in addition to their native dialects.

 

The most important aspect of this issue is: relativity and relationship to one another!.

 

How different and how mutually unintelligible one dialect has to be from the mother

tongue in order to become categorized as a distinct language remains a difficult

and fuzzy boundary to delineate.

 

If it walks and quacks like a duck--chances are that the unseen bird in the dark of the night would most

likely be found at daylight to be a duck or a close relative--and members of the same species

of birds!

 

To assert that the Ikwerre language is not a dialect of the Igbo language is like suggesting that

the cockerel or roster is not related to the hen even though they are both chickens despite some physical differences.

 

The Ikwerre is not Igbo controversy is similar to what the Yoruba elders would

regard as a matter of

 

"Ija lo'de ti orin fi di owe."

 

 

The controversy in the Igbo linguistic (dialectal)  family tree is an unfortunate by product

 of the Nigerian Civil War and the subsequent Abandoned Properties issue that arose in its wake.

It is a controversy that would resolve with time.

Anyway, thanks for that clarification but know it that your logic would also mean that no part of Igbo should claim being Igbo or part of Igbo, if a little variation in how we say same words, would define them as 

evolutionally different. 

I can now tell Nebu Adiele of Oguta to go look for his father elsewhere because he says some Igbo words a bit different from how Vin, Agwunobi, Ws, and I , would say same. Agwunobi and Vin would say same words in Igbo same way because they are from Orlu area . Btw: Oguta is also in Orlu zone.

A better example would be Abakaliki, Anioma and somehow Ngwa areas. They are Igbos, but your evolutionary logic clearly makes them something or somebody different from the rest of Igbos but certainly not Yorubas.

Lastly, can you stand before a Redeem's audience on a Sunday like tomorrow , and recite that God did not create white people in the day, and blacks in the nights? Lol. 

Redeem is a Christian group with branches in every 3 blocks in Lagos.

the ancient ancestors of today's Europeans to absorb enough Vitamin D (an essential vitamin) that

requires UV rays for its production in the human body. Without these evolutionary adaptations the ancient ancestors of today's light skinned Europeans would have all died of Vitamin D defiency.

 

The same evolutionary mechanisms resulted in the development of numerous dialectal variations

in all languages and eventually in the formation of numerous mutually unintelligible languages--

which nevertheless still retain some rudimental tonal qualities and similarities however remote  to one another

that have enabled enabled linguists to build the entire human linguistic family tree that connects all languages

spoken in the world today.

 

All languages spoken in the southern regions of Nigeria and across most of West Africa belong to the

Niger-Congo branch of the Bantu African family tree.

 

If we keep walking back over thousangs of years in the past we would reach a point when all

peoples of the West Africa including Nigeria spoke one language and belonged to one ethnic group..

In essence all of our languages and various ethnicities in Nigeria share a common origin.

 

Thus to argue that the Ikwerre language is not related to the Igbo language is to turn logic

on its head--especially when there is documentary sufficient documntary proof that some Nigerian languages

especially Yoruba share commonalities including words, names of objects with languages

spoken in the Sudan and some parts of the Middle East.

 

There are more languages per hundred thousand square kilometres in Africa than there are

in Europe and in other parts of the world.

The cause of this finding continues to be debated by experts in the field of linguistics.

 

One theory suggests that because Africans stayed close to the original source, they were more

prone to move away from one another and in so doing create, either consciously or unconsciously

new dialects of one language which later evolve into new languages that are mutually unintelligible

from the languages spoken from their original abode before they migrated. One theory suggests that new diaclects and

languages evoved because the new migrants were

distrustful not only of those from their original neighbours but also amongst each other.

 

To the contrary, the migrants to the more challenging climatic regions of the world--the European continent-

needed to stay close to one another in other to survive the tremendous odds that mother nature

had in their wake--hence the need for fewer distinct languages.

 

Conclusion:

 

Ikwerre is related to the Igbo language. The boundary line that defines when

a dialectal variation of one language becomes a distinct language on its own merit is an

extremely fuzzy one!

 

The unending Ikwerre is Igbo and Ikwerre is not Igbo argument is a meaningless one.

It is a waste of precious time!

If what was before us was not a case or petition, how come you cited the above two clear examples of cases or petitions brought about by one group against the other and, you would want us to follow the same rule? 

What is the main aim of those who go to juries? Is it not to seek the intervention of the jury in their cases? Why did the male hypocrites take the case of the adulterous woman to Jesus? Was it not to seek Jesus' intervention? And what do you think made you to bring Dr. Joe Igietseme before us? If you say you were not seeking our intervention, then you remain a liar!

The case of Jesus asking His accuser to give to Caesar what is Caesar's and God what is God's does not simply add up here as Jesus was Himself the one being accused.

Look, you have been told in all unambiguous terms that your case (petition) against the renowned academic of Nigerian descent in the US, by the name of Dr. Joseph Igietseme has been struck out with ignominy and alacrity largely on following grounds:

In Igbo culture, what I did is called "iju ogu" -- loosely translated as putting forth once case before the gods, so that one does not get hounded with one's conscience after undertaking the actions over which the iju ogu became necessary."........Nebulous Nebu.

Nebu did not WRITE petition to anyone, so he says.......however, Nebu CALLED on the gods in his own words "putting forth once case before the gods".........That's where Nebu gets Nebulous.

If Nebu did not "petition" Chief Okala, how come he responded to him?

Nebu, When you "put forth" your "CASE", I wonder what that means if not a presentation of your grievance to the assembly of "gods". 

A presentation of grievances in any form or shape is a petition.

The "gods" therefore in this cyber-setting, at least those Nebu himself anointed as worthy to be his "gods", were those he specifically chosen and named all by himself to sit at his "Iju Oju" and begged to lend him their ears.

Nebu is always leaving himself wide open.

Perhaps a better approach to resolving issues like this is to BOLDLY call a spade a spade; speak to the specifics of the issues driving the crisis and let off on the generalities; when you do, the aggressors and provocateurs will realize that impartial observers are following; and may exercise restraints; also, the victims will take solace in knowing that people are observing things and mediating honestly and frankly.

Now, JUI would like to ask you the following questions:

1. Is it okay for a Nigerian to be hiding under a fake name to curse, slur, yab, bad-mouth and tell lies against other people in a community forum?

2. Is it not okay for Nigerians in a forum to ask for the true identity of a Nigeria hiding under a fake name to curse, slur, yab, bad-mouth and tell lies against other people in a community forum?

3. Is it okay not to question the credibility of a purported Nigerian professional who tells us an obviously bogus story about how he [a US-based Attorney] confronted, wrestled and pummeled a Madman called Abiodun at Owerri Market place street? Don't you appreciate the dangers and and lack of etiquette or professional judgement in such an act?

These are some of the CRIMES of Nebukadineze Adiele; it is either you take a candid potion to call him on them or you talk straight to the people who have the courage to question the credibility of this Guy! Please, quit the tow-fighting approach because there is a clear provocateur [Nebu Adiele] and there are poor victims of  Nebu's biles, vile, curses, lies and fabrications [JUI etc]! 

The other point to realize is that if Nebu is not called on these lies and misbehaviors, he will think he's being Smart-by-One Quarter. So he deserves all he gets! Take care. JUI

Nebu curses people, slurs, badmouth and fabricate stories, like beating up Madman Abiodun in Owerri marketplace! All under a fake name that he has attested to!

Now, do you think it is right or ok for Nebu to use a fake identity in this Brothers/Sisters forum? If you do, why do you think it is ok and acceptable? On the other hand, if you think it is not ok, have you mustered the COURAGE to call him on the fraudulent practice? Dont you realize that it is FRAUD to use a fake name to denigrate and tell lies [even truths] in public because it is impossible to hold the person to his word? Just as you question why Govs and leaders should be getting away with fraud while the people are silent, Nebu is also getting away with the fraudulent use of identity; but y're loudly QUIET about Nebu! Why?

Not only does Nebukadineze Adiele, like the devil (that he actually is), go up and down the entire cyberspace looking for who to devour (and in some cases has actually devoured many unprovoked) with his fake personality, blatant lies and craft, he curses and shouts obscenities and all stinking swearing words that you can imagine at people unbridled, whenever one's position is at variance with his in a debate. For well over a decade, this man has been hiding under the criminal mask with the inscription "Nebukadineze Adiele" and has hoodwinked not a few discussants - including this writer, to believing that, that was his real name until recently when he ran out of luck by exposing himself unwittingly behind this mask! He must have cursed the day he wrote that unbelievable statement that actually showcased him as a faceless man!

He has an unparalleled ingenuity in fabricating falsehood and with the same skill spreads it against his prey by rehearsing it over and over again until some gullible members of the community start singing his chorus. Pray never to be his target!

When I say Nebukadineze Adiele is bad, he is really very bad! May we never have two of his kind at a time in a space like this! 

He should enjoy wearing the mask whilst it lasts, but one thing I do believe is that his real identity will be exposed shortly and unwittingly by himself. This is my message to Nebukadineze Adiele!

We are not in a religious group here where we can talk about sinners and saints. We are in a hard hitting discussion group that discusses mostly politics. Therefore, we should expect some discomfort from the way other people express themselves.

In a group like this, the only prohibition should be academic (and other) dishonesty, propaganda/intentional falsehood, and impunity.

We should keep in mind the intent of the Freedom of Speech.

Personal differences between honest people shouldn't translate into bile in a political discussion forum.

On all that Dr. Joseph Igietseme has submitted below, I append my worthy signature. I agree with him in total!

Not only does Nebukadineze Adiele, like the devil (that he actually is), go up and down the entire cyberspace looking for who to devour (and in some cases has actually devoured many unprovoked) with his fake personality, blatant lies and craft, he curses and shouts obscenities and all stinking swearing words that you can imagine at people unbridled, whenever one's position is at variance with his in a debate. For well over a decade, this man has been hiding under the criminal mask with the inscription "Nebukadineze Adiele" and has hoodwinked not a few discussants - including this writer, to believing that, that was his real name until recently when he ran out of luck by exposing himself unwittingly behind this mask! He must have cursed the day he wrote that unbelievable statement that actually showcased him as a faceless man!

He has an unparalleled ingenuity in fabricating falsehood and with the same skill spreads it against his prey by rehearsing it over and over again until some gullible members of the community start singing his chorus. Pray never to be his target!

When I say Nebukadineze Adiele is bad, he is really very bad! May we never have two of his kind at a time in a space like this! 

He should enjoy wearing the mask whilst it lasts, but one thing I do believe is that his real identity will be exposed shortly and unwittingly by himself. This is my message to Nebukadineze Adiele!

Yes, Nebu may be a demagogue, as you surmise but demagoguery ain't against the law. 

 

We are not in a religious group here where we can talk about sinners and saints. We are in a hard hitting discussion group that discusses mostly politics. Therefore, we should expect some discomfort from the way other people express themselves.

 

In a group like this, the only prohibition should be academic (and other) dishonesty, propaganda/intentional falsehood, and impunity.

 

We should keep in mind the intent of the Freedom of Speech.

 

Personal differences between honest people shouldn't translate into bile in a political discussion forum.

I guarantee that only one out of one hundred thousand purportedly reasonable adults would believe that a man who uses a fake name to tell lies and false tales in an adult forum does not do harm; and a comparable fraction of people will say that the perpetrator of such an act is entitled to his spooky existence and lies about other people.

If other people you named above tell lies against you, call you names and attempt to blackmail and denigrate your ethnic group with childish slurs and innuendoes, it will be your personality to ignore it. And this is not a brother/sister group except when you want to whip up people's sentiments against an individual or groups of individuals because you don't think that you can do it alone.

You, of all people, should know by now that nobody has a bigger stick to kill a snake on these forums (not my beloved Revered Prince of Mushin) than I. Nebu's style of communication doesn't threaten me; nor should anybody feel threatened by it and go on a Jihad because of it, as you happen to be doing. Just don't read him, if you feel too uncomfortable by it because these are open forums.

I am sure that, when you are ready, you will tell the forum when Nebu stole your wife, as the real reason you are spending so much of your waking life planning his demise!
