Senior Firm Trainer
Overview:
Under the direction and guidance of the
Training & Development Manager, the Senior Firm Trainer is responsible for
providing individual and group instruction on system applications and skill
development (including soft skills training such as customer service, verbal
& written communication, etc.), both in-person and remotely. Additional
duties include, training course design and development, providing support to
the IT Department during major technology upgrades, and other duties,
responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver
innovative and engaging classroom and webinar training sessions.
- Follow-up
with clients after training in order to identify performance gaps, as well
as define future learning opportunities.
- Develop
and perform skills assessment of clients’ core technology skills.
- Assess
training needs based upon organizational and business unit goals and
prescribe appropriate learning solutions.
- Provide
individuals and teams with advice regarding learning and development plans
specific to their needs.
- Document
training requests and collaborate with subject matter experts and/or
clients to develop and define learning objectives.
- Manage
the design, development and maintenance of internal training courses and
other learning solutions (e.g., social media); with a focus on creating
highly effective and engaging learning experiences that improve business
performance.
- Collaborate
on the development of elearning best practices and procedures for creating
online courses using multiple authoring tools.
- Recommend
areas for improvement to learning and development throughout the firm to
achieve and deliver high quality services clients.
- Remain
current on developments in training and instructional methodologies,
including technology enhancements and make recommendations for program
enhancements.
- Work
on special projects and performs other job-related duties as identified by
the Training & Development Manager.
Qualifications:
- A
minimum of three years designing, developing and delivering technical
or business skills training via traditional classroom or remote sessions
in a law firm or other professional services environment.
- Advanced
level technical skills and knowledge of legal applications.
- Ability
to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills in all aspects of
the position
- Ability
to work in a team environment and be willing to lend support to other team
members as needed
- Ability
to apply formal processes of instructional design, including analysis,
design, development, implementation and evaluation
