I've only gotten into Who in the last year or so, but I've fallen hard for it since then.  I liked Eccleston but of course I watched it all over six months or so it didn't give me the opportunity to really get attached to one actor.

Obviously Eccleston was great or I probably wouldn't have stuck through to see DT or Matt Smith.

I love silly things though so I was on board with Eleven since he climbed out of the box, but he'd have had me at fish fingers and custard anyway.

Theat said, the wait for the next series is driving me a bit mad...

The silly is good, sure, but what I love maybe most of all about Matt Smith, is that he captures the darkness that lives in the Doctor probably better than 10 ever did.  At least, in my opinion.

Never was a fan of the modern Dr.Who, but for Chris Eccleston who is
truly a good actor, and made the show in his tenure an interesting
one.
He was certainly dark and dramatic and I thought it was very suiting
